Day 1 · Seattle → Istanbul → Kayseri
Arrival
Overnight from Sea-Tac with a connection in Istanbul, landing in Kayseri at 1:55pm. An hour’s drive to Göreme and check-in at a cave hotel.
Day 2 · Göreme · Uçhisar
The balloon
Pickup at 5:10am; the flight at sunrise lasts about an hour. After breakfast, Göreme Open-Air Museum and Uçhisar Castle with a guide.
Day 3 · Derinkuyu · Ihlara
Underground
Derinkuyu, an underground city eight levels deep, then a walk through the Ihlara canyon and lunch by the river in Belisırma.
Day 4 · Rose Valley · Avanos
Free day
Nothing scheduled. We suggest sunrise in the Rose Valley and the pottery studios of Avanos — your manager can book either.
Day 5 · Kayseri → Istanbul → Seattle
Departure
Checkout at noon, transfer to Kayseri and the flight home through Istanbul, landing at Sea-Tac the same evening.

Before you book
Where do flights leave from?
Sea-Tac for every trip. Where there’s no nonstop, we book one connection — through Istanbul, Frankfurt or Doha — and keep layovers under four hours when the schedule allows.
Do I need a visa?
U.S. citizens visit the EU, Türkiye, Japan and the Maldives without a visa for short trips. Kenya requires an eTA; we file it for you about three weeks before departure.
What if a flight is cancelled or moved?
Your manager finds another flight, moves the transfer and, if needed, the first hotel night. Any price difference is agreed with you before anything is charged.
How do I pay?
In two payments: 30% to book, the rest 14 days before departure. By card or bank transfer.
Can we travel with kids?
Yes. We pick short connections, family rooms and hotels with a shallow beach. A lap infant under two flies for about 10% of an adult fare on most international routes.
